LENT LUNCH AT ST GILES'

Anyone entering St Giles’ on Saturday 22nd March would have been greeted by the delightful aromas of 4 different hot soups: mulligatawny, celery topped with parsley, tomato and basil, and sweet potato.

The tables were laden with different types of crusty loaves, warm garlic bread, tomatoes, cheeses, grapes and tangerines.

Those tables soon filled up, as did the soup bowls, often twice! It was a very convivial lunch, raising over £140 for our chosen charity, Alabaré. Some of the soup left over was taken to those who had let us know that they were unable to join us.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
